SAS & Company is pleased to introduce the the new fragrance by Kenneth Cole, 'Mankind Hero', just in time for Christmas 2016. Available exclusively at House of Fraser. 

SAS & Company began working with Kenneth Cole fragrances earlier in 2014 and look forward to great success with 'Mankind Hero' and subsequent launches.

September 2016, Kenneth Cole announced the launch of MANKIND Hero, a fresh new fragrance that celebrates everyday heroism. The campaign speaks to the importance of performing small acts of courage, kindness, and integrity –reminding us that everyone can be a hero to someone.

 

CONCEPT

Everyone can be someone’s hero: the committed partner, father, the better man, the great protector. He is a man who embraces simplicity, inspires self-belief in others, and keeps his friends close and his family closer. This is the evolution of MANKIND —MANKIND HERO.

“Heroes come in many forms –those who fight to make the world a better place and those who make just one life better with their presence,” said Kenneth Cole, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Kenneth Cole Productions. “MANKIND Hero celebrates the bold men who make a difference in our lives every day.”

 

THE FRAGRANCE

The scent captures the powerful essence of a hero with a fresh mountain air accord and rich woods infused with black vanilla. This new fragrance by Kenneth Cole is the perfect balance of strength and warmth The fougere oriental fragrance contains top notes of Italian lemon and coriander seeds, mid notes of plum wood, lavender, clarysage, and vanilla infusion and dries down with notes of coumarin, amber woods, white moss, and musks.

 

THE BOTTLE

Staying true to the Kenneth Cole aesthetic, the bottle design speaks to the quality and style of the modern man. The bottle is wrapped in black leather, affixed with chrome bolts and topped off with a leather-wrapped cap.

THE FRAGRANCE

Mankind is an aromatic woody fragrance, created by Claude Dir, Perfumer at Givaudan in collaboration with Jennifer Mullarkey, Fragrance Developer for Parlux Ltd. Mankind opens with a fresh blend of cardamom, tarragon leaves, zesty ginger and a splash of pineapple. It continues into a masculine blend of cedarwood, vetiver root and cinnamon then transforms into a rich, enhancing drydown of sandalwood, oak moss, tonka and sexy skin musk.

THE BOTTLE

Driven by Kenneth Cole’s signature attention to detail and craftsmanship, designer Chad Lavigne captures the essence of Mankind with a sleek, tailored bottle. Encased with leather, affixed with chrome bolts and topped off with a leather-wrapped cap, the bottle speaks to the quality and masculine style of the modern man.

"Growing up near the Mediterranean, you become attuned to any changes in the sea and its rugged landscape. For me, this fragrance is inspired by the Mediterranean summer, when the seasonal change has a profound effect on the environment. The water, the air and the light are electric. I wanted to capture the feeling of diving into Mediterranean waters on a hot summer day. The bracing freshness of that first impact with the still cool water. The breezy saltiness in the warm air. The scent of driftwood and the Mediterranean vegetation, populated by aromatic lavender and tall cedar trees all mingling together and creating a sensory explosion" said Mathieu Nardin of Robertet.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN When it comes to heroism, we decided to start at the beginning – literally. For most young boys, their first hero is their dad, or a mentor of some kind. That heroism often lasts a lifetime and is passed down from generation to generation. This campaign highlights the significance of heroism in all stages of manhood and boyhood, and puts the lofty concept of heroism on a relatable human level, noting that everyone has a hero, and everyone can be a hero to someone. The campaign was shot in Brooklyn, NY by photographer John Balsom, styled by Kenneth Cole and features legendary model John Pearson and his son Cooper Pearson
